Alone again
Time to send the inlaws back home. They did stay for about 3 weeks and except for the 1 week of vacation in the middle they just stayed at our house. They did not go anywhere – not even for day trips. That becomes very stressful for everyone. Not even one free minute for such a long time. 
The flight would leave around 8.30 PM today. As we had plenty of time until then we decided to drive to downtown Denver and to vsit the local “Octoberfest”. Beer, Bratwurst, and Bavarian ‘Volksmusik’. Well, if you have ever seen a real Octoberfest – this was not it. Prices were very expensive and it just was not the real thing. Still – we arranged to have a great time. We ordered some German beer for her parents and a few brats for everyone. 
In the afternoon we left for the airport and helped Simone’s parents to check in. As they do not speak English at all this always seems to be a frightening part for them. No big deal for us though. We then guided them to the security check area and it was time to say Good-bye. This time was probably difficult for them as they knew about the exciting thing happening.
