Heartbeat
We arrived at the doctors office together. We had met at home earlier. Simone felt a little better compared to yesterday. We had to wait about 20 minutes at the doctors office before it was our turn. A quick blood pressure and an urine test - then we were guided into a different room. The practicing nurse came it - the doctor had to leaver earlier to a hospital - helping to give birth.
The nurse was very friendly. She grabbed some sort of microphone thingy and started searching for the babies heart beat. After trying for about 1 minute - we suddenly heart this pumping noise coming from the speaker. Oh my god - the baby’s heartbeat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 
All the fear and concerns fell off. We could hear our little babys heartbeat. That was so cool. Simone was smiling and happy and I guess my face showed the joy, too. This was incredible. How fast that little heart was working. The baby was not even 12 weeks old, but the little heart was working already. Truly amazing ……
We felt so happy afterwards. We had had so much fear of loosing the baby and then - the hearbeat. Oh my god - we felt like in 7th heaven.
It was Thursday and that is our special day every week to go out for dinner with Rob & Heidi - our friends. Sharing such good news after days of fear feels so gooooooood.
