Weekend
The last week has been like a rollercoaster to us. The up and downs, fear and excitement have taken a toll on us. We’re taking it easy today. We went down to Colorado Springs to visit our friends. Their 3 kids were excited to see Simone and to find out how the baby is doing. We had a good time.
Not that it is really bothering me – but in a book I read they author said something like: “Do not expect many people to ask the father-to-be how he is doing.” This almost seems to be true. Almost nobody really talks about the feelings you have as an expectant father. Noone really asks you in regards to having a baby “And how you doing?” . 
Well, I guess that is alright. The wife/woman/girl has to go through all the pain later on and she has to do the actual work. She deserves the extra attention she gets. We as man can only be bystanders in one way or the other. Of course there are many things we can do to at least make these 9 months as exciting and comfortable for our wifes or girlfriends. And that is one thing that I will try to do – help my wife to have a pregnancy as wonderful as it can be.
