Neighbors
Simone and I went for a walk today. On our way back we met our neighbors Elmar and Hazel. These 2 will be married for 60 years next weekend. Unbelieveable!:) Anyway – one thing led to another and we told them that we are expecting a baby. They were totally surprised (in a good way). They congratulated us immediately. I am sure the story will make its way through the other parties of our neighborhood – but again – in a good way. These 2 are really nice people and when you’re old part of your life are those every day stories and events.
I got my first impression of what my additional tasks doing the household will be. I volunteered helping Simone with quite a few things yesterday and today. Not that I am lazy guy, but we had splitted things like housework and special duties somehow and things worked out well. Now I am going to help more often with tasks she is doing. Not that I really want to, but it is not a problem either.
It just needs some adjustment on my side.
I finally fixed our treadmill yesterday. The thing was broken for half a year. Everytime I called tech support they gave me other things to try. Somehow I got the feeling they wanted to avoid coming out. I am not sure if I will buy one from that company again ….. Let’s see how long it will last now. Simone wants to use it for easy workout during pregnancy. It is getting dark and cold so early now – it is much more fun walking on a treadmill in the heated basement.
I re-designed the homepage of our Firsttimepregnancy.com website. I hope people like the new design and the better navigation. I also added more content. I am still waiting for Google.com to index the site. We lost the good spot on MSN.com due to some changes in their search algorythm. But Yahoo is delivering a lot of visitors. I hope this little project finds some interest.
More later ….
