What a sad day …
A sad day today. A private daycare in a residential area in a suburb north of us caught fire today. A 3 month old baby died. The daycare provider (according to the news unlicensed) noticed fire in the garage and called 911. Then she was able to save 3 of the 4 children that she was taking care of. An off-duty police officer driving by noticed the fire. He ran twice into the house to save the baby, but the fire and smoke made it impossible for him to rescue the 3 month old baby. We feel so sad about this. As we are expecting a baby ourselfs it seems to affect us much more. How must the parents of this little baby feel tonight?!
