Simone’s mother finally was convinced enough not to show up 2 weeks before the due date. She let us know that she will come for 3 weeks about 2 weeks after the due date. That is awesome. This will give us a few days to get to know our baby boy and to adjust. I will have time off from work anyway to help Simone to have time to recover and to take care of the baby.
We survived Christmas just fine. Christmas Eve was fun in Colorado Springs and Christmas Day belonged to us. We did not do the big presents thing. We had spend money on the house and also paid off our pickup truck. Enough money spend and we also wanted to make sure that the little baby boy will have everything he needs.
In a few more days our health insurance will go up dramatically in price. My employer has changed the plan and the price for the options increased quite a bit. We will loose another $120.00 a month in addition of what we already pay for the health insurance. Once the baby is here we will have to spend an additional $100.00 per month. This is a little bit concerning and I will have to find other ways to make up for the additional expense. My own business is still too small. I get a better understanding now when people complain about the rising cost of health care. Is it the government that needs to do better or am I just with the wrong employer or what is it? Is the health system screwed up?
